What is your hair’s worth?
How you value your hair will determine who you choose as your stylist. And no woman deserves less than a great hairstylist.
That’s why I’ll be showing you in this post, internal qualities your hairstylist must have in order to maintain your self worth as a woman.
But first, let’s start by highlighting a few things about your hair’s worth.
Your hair is your pride.
To some women their hair is worth more than Oprah’s net worth (which by the way is 3.1 billion dollars and counting).
Why? Because no matter the worth of a human hair add-on, it still needs your priceless natural hair. That’s why you have to be proud of it and protect it.
Next, your hair is your crown.
There is no signature look for a queen without her crown, that’s your hair’s worth. It crowns your beauty.
Now that you know what your hair is worth, lets talk about the qualities anyone privileged to be called your hairstylist must have.
1. Your hairstylist must put her heart into her work
Only a hairstylist who puts her heart into her work can understand what your hair is worth to you.
They are the ones that can do what it takes to bring out the beauty you imagined you’d get before choosing a style.
Don’t let’s do all the telling. Here’s what Kelly Thomas, a customer to our salon had to say about us after having her Sawing Weave done:
“It’s wonderful to come here because Diena puts her heart into her work and it’s very motivating.”
– Kelly Thomas
Can you say that about your hairstylist?
2. Your hairstylist must care about hair and people
Guess what? You can’t separate hair from people and vice versa. Your hairstylist must care about you and your hair.
What do they tell you about your hair? How do they handle it? Do they track changes to your hair texture, growth and general health?
A great stylist cares so much about you and your hair like a good mother would her child.
Because it is not only a job to the hairstylist, it’s a calling. Something deeper than just getting paid.
Every good hairstylists relishes the fulfilling feeling of watching you walk away feeling good about yourself.
Such was the feeling when Kelly spoke after getting her hair done.
“… She cares about hair and people. Getting my hair done brightens my day; gives me a sense of self worth and it’s enlightening.”
– Kelly Thomas
